Hi! I’m Ankita,
My journey into women's health advocacy began in seventh grade (2022-23) with a presentation on period poverty awareness. The strong response to this project sparked my interest in addressing gender-based healthcare disparities and inspired my continued commitment to this cause.
Following this encouraging feedback, I organized a menstrual products drive the following year, collecting and donating essential supplies to organizations serving vulnerable populations. This initiative was very successful, gathering 3,685 pads (78 packages) and 1,764 tampons (49 packages) for foster care communities such as A Kid's Place and Heart Gallery. The thank-you letters and photos of newly stocked shelves I received demonstrated the real impact these donations had on individuals who previously lacked access to basic necessities.
While period poverty remains a key focus, my advocacy has grown to include broader women's health concerns, including medical research disparities, the gender gap in clinical studies, reproductive rights, and the underrepresentation of women's health issues in healthcare policy. These systemic issues create barriers to proper care and contribute to significant financial burdens that disproportionately affect women throughout their lives.
Driven by these realities, I created this platform to raise awareness about these important issues and provide reliable information that helps readers form informed perspectives. Whether through donations or helping spread awareness, I welcome you to join this effort to improve healthcare accessibility for women everywhere.
